A book for Seventh-day Adventists

Welcome to the page for downloading Restoring Ta HagiaTa hagia is a Greek word that means "the holies."  It is translated in the New Testament both as "the holy places" and "the saints."  Both the sanctuary of heaven and the sanctuary of the human soul must be cleansed or restored before Jesus can return to this earth.

The final atonement often seems to SDA's a bitter pill to swallow.  We think it easier to get into heaven if we die, rather than go through the perfecting process of the last days.  But the Gospel is Good News: it is "Sweet love, joy and peace." (EW 55)

Restoring Ta Hagia is the good news of the Day of Atonement, which is based on the doctrine of justification by faith.  It's the third angel's message.  But we are still here after more than 160 years.  Could we be missing something?  Shouldn't we be asking questions such as: What does the latter rain do and how do we receive it?  When will the image of God be restored in His people?  If God's faithful can be instantaneously sanctified a the the resurrection when Jesus comes, can it happen sooner?  What happened in 1888?  If we truly acdepted the message, as many say we have, why hasn't Jesus come?  What is misdirected faith, and how has it influenced last day events?  Why do we obey?  Is it to gain the blessings, or is there a better, unselfish motive?  How, if at all, was the Man Jesus different from the rest of mankind, and does it matter?  How does it affect our beliefs for the last days?  How does the cleansing of the temple in heaven relate to the temple of the human body?  What is the timing of the latter rain?  What is the order of earth's final events?  Are we ready for the next event?  What is it?

After reading Restoring Ta Hagia, there should be no doubt that all things are ready, let  us enter into the marriage.

Read Early Writings, pages 54, 55, entitled "End of the 2300 Days."  What does it mean to be praying to Satan?  Why are those who remained in the first apartment after 1844 without "Sweet love, joy and peace?"  Does this vision apply to the church and the rest of the world around the year 1844, or is it also relevant for the SDA Church today?  Is it possible that some SDA's are still be in the first apartment and not in the most holy?

Reader: what about YOU?  As you approach the final scenes of this earth's history, do you do so with apprehension and uncertainty, or do you have "Sweet love, joy and peace?" (EW 54-56)

Restoring Ta Hagia contains what its author believes is a missing link to the proper understanding of how we are to enter the most holy of the heavenly sanctuary TODAY and receive blessings of the final atonement.  It is the restoration of the image of God in man, the complete fulfillment of the new covenant promise, the total and perfect partaking of the divine nature, the numbering of the 144,000.  This is all brought about by the proper understanding of the message of 1888.

Restoring Ta Hagia deals mainly with the three following issues:

Justification by faith is the third Angel's message, not righteousness by faith.  Is there a difference?  This author thinks there is.  It is as different as justification and sanctification.  Both are important concepts for the Christian, but how they relate to the third angel's message is most essential to our right standing today.

The nature of Christ and man has been much debated by two different camps, but how, if at all, Jesus was different from the rest of mankind will color our actions and faith in these last days.  Restoring Ta Hagia deals with this issue clearly.  The reader will find that the controversy with the two conflicting views is disolved with a third option.

When will the latter rain fall, and what will it do?  Ellen White calls it the "perfecting latter rain."  Does it change or add anything to our characters?  It is dangerous to sit idly by and wait for it to come.  We need to cooperate with God, even today, in the perfecting of our characters while fervently praying for the latter rain.  Yet the daily sanctification process is not enough; we need the latter rain to ripen the grain and prepare it for the sickle.   Restoring Ta Hagia deals with the clearest statements of EGW on the latter rain.
